*LORD OF THE RINGS
THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING
2001

The soundtrack includes two pieces written and performed by Enya: Aníron (Theme for Aragorn snd Arwen) is sung in Sindarin; and May It Be is sung in English with a few words in Quenya. Sindarin and Quenya are fictional languages invented by author J.R.R. Tolkien for the novels.

Both standard and limited editions are enhanced with links to a website where various Lord of the Rings-and Enya-related items can be downloaded. During its initial pressing, the standard edition has had six cover art variations - Arwen, Bilbo, Frodo, Gandalf, Saruman, and Strider - which were actually limited edition collectable character cards. The character cards overlaid the standard cover booklet which showed the four hobbits (Sam, Frodo, Pippin, and Merry). After the cards' limited run, that standard cover was replaced with the current design showing a montage of four characters from the movie - Frodo, Saruman, Gandalf, and Arwen.
