CEOL ADUAIDH 1983
Credited under her real name of Eithne Ní Bhraonáin, Enya plays synthesizer on An Clár Bog Déil. The album was produced by Nicky Ryan. Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh and Frankie Kennedy went on to form the folk band Altan.
ORDINARY MAN 1985
Recorded at Aigle Studios with Nicky Ryan as one of its engineers. Enya is credited among the musicians (and as one of the album's arrangers) and can be heard singing backing vocals on Sweet Music Roll On, The Diamondtina Drover, and Quiet Desperation. Some of these tracks have also appeared on various Christy Moore compilation albums.
THE LION AND THE COBRA 1987
Enya speaks a passage from the Bible (Psalms 91:11-13) in Irish on Never Get Old. The reading was recorded separately and edited into the track, and it was only later that Enya and Sinéad O'Connor actually met.
THE DRIVER 1991
Recorded at London's Sarm West studios at the same time that the Enya team were there mixing Shepherd Moons, the album features several unaccredited guest artists including a couple of Eagles and Howard Jones. Enya provides a typical multi-tracked backing vocal on The Whole of the Moon. Any other contributions from her are not obvious.
